OPEN MRI, With “Wide Open Spaces”® Our OPEN MRI is open on three sides. In fact, it is so open that the patient slides under the magnet sideways. This OPEN configuration gives a comfortable feeling and insures completion of an excellent scan. Music can be provided by headphones and the patient is encouraged to bring in a favorite CD or tape. In most instances a family member or friend can accompany the patient into the scan room.

High Field Ultra Short Bore MRI This High Field scanner is unique in that it has a very large opening that is flared at both ends, and more importantly, the magnet bore is only 3 feet in length, about half the length of the traditional tube type MRI. The large opening also accommodates large and claustrophobic patients. Because of the OPEN Flair and ultra short gantry configuration many patients with claustrophobia are able to be scanned in this very fast and high quality scanner. In addition, the High Field MRI can accommodate many patients weighing up to 550 pounds, making it a truly Texas-Sized MRI.®
